Put these rational numbers in order:

3(squared), 1 3/2, 2.2, -2

Put these rational numbers in order:
3/8, 1/4, 7/8

1 answer

1 3/2 is bogus. Mixed numbers do not generally have a fractional part greater than 1.

Anyway,
3^2 = 9
1 3/2 = 5/2 = 2.5

and now it should be clear.

Do the others by putting them all over a common denominator (8), and then just sort the numerators.
