A hippo has a mass of 6000kg. When standing on 4 feet, how much pressure is exerted on the ground? Assume each foot has an area of 0.10 square meter. Show your work.

pressure=weight/area=(6000*9.8N)/(4*.10)

(6000kg*9.8N/kg)/(4*.10m^2) = 147000N/m^2 = 147KPa
