How would I use Distributive property to rewrite each expression then solve

I hope that this is not another example of "silly math", but rather an exercise in doing mental arithmetic.

If it is the latter, I find value in that, and I would rewrite it as
35(20 + 1)
Now you should be able to do it in your head.
