I'm in seventh grade and working on my test for Reading. Everything is fairly simple and easy, but I came across a question that I cannot determine the answer for. The question is: "What is the meaning of the prefix pro- in the word 'proposed'?" The answer choices are: "above", "together", "forward", and "between". I have tried to rule out answers that I am certain are not correct. I am pretty sure that "above" and "together" are not correct, but I am not completely sure. I have tried looking up online what the prefix pro- means, but I did not find anything helpful. *Please do not give me an answer if you are not 100% sure that you have the right answer. *When giving me an answer, please explain the answer to me and do NOT just give me the answer, as I actually like learning and I want to fully understand the answer for future purposes. Thank you in advance; your help is appreciated.

Look up "propose" here and let us know what you think.
Thank you very much, Writeacher, that was very helpful. The link has helped me determine that the answer is "forward".
