Solve the quadratic

(2x+6)(3x-1)=2

try putting things into standard form:

(2x+6)(3x-1)=2
6x^2 + 16x - 6 = 2
6x^2 + 16x - 8 = 0
or
3x^2 + 8x - 4 = 0

Now just use the quadratic formula.
