A varies jointly as R1 and R2 and inversely as the sqaure of L. Find A when R1=180, R2=8,L=5, and k=3/2

P.S the 1 and 2 next to the R are exponents at the bottom of R and not at the top.

A = k*R1*R2/L^2

"exponents" at the bottom are called subscripts.
