The legs of a right triangle are 6 cm and 18 cm. The hypotenuse of a similar triangle is 24 cm. What is the area, in cm squared, of the larger triangle?

the smaller triangle has an hypotenuse of 6√10

So, the scale ratio is 6√10:24 = √10:4

That means the areas are in the ratio 10:16

The areas are thus 54 and 86.4
