Solve the equation, if possible

2(x+3)=2(x+8)
a)all real numbers
b) no solution

i got 10 as the answer, but is the answer a or b?

1 answer

2x + 6 = 2x + 8

Since subtracting 2x from both sides leads to no x term, there is no solution.

I hope this helps. Thanks for asking
