I also need help with this question because I'm really not getting this question at this time.


A paint manufacturer suggests using 1 gallon of paint for every 400 sqaure feet of wall. At this rate, how many gallons of paint woulb be required for room that has 1400 square feet of wall?

Divide:

1400 / 400 = ?

You can also do it the long way:
1 gallon = 400 sq. ft.
2 gal. = 800 sq. ft.
3 gal. = 1200 sq. ft.
4 gal. = 1600 sq. ft.
