a. Calculate the volume of the cone in term of pie

a. v = 1/3 * pi * r^2 * h

b. the base radius is 4 and the height is 3, so the slant height is 5 (3-4-5 triangle)

the 5 is the radius of the circle of which the area of the cone is a segment
... the area of the circle is...25 pi

the area of the cone is...4/5 * 25 pi
