23.4 = Vi + 8 t
average speed = (Vi+23.4)/2
so
t = 9.7/[ (Vi+23.4)/2 ]
so
23.4 = Vi + 8*9.7/[ (Vi+23.4)/2 ]
solve for Vi
23.4 = Vi + 8 t
average speed = (Vi+23.4)/2
so
t = 9.7/[ (Vi+23.4)/2 ]
