Question

A car is accelerated from rest to a speed of 35m/s over a distance of 18m. What is the car's acceleration?

okay so I thought that I need to use the a= Vf-Vi/T2-T1.

18m-0s/35m/s-0s = 0.5?? I don't think I did this right.

v^2 = 2as
35^2 = 2a*18
a = 34 m/s^2

You have no idea how long it took to accelerate.

The units in your calculation are all jumbled up.
