Question

Calculate the concentration of chloride ions in the following solution.
73.28g of sodium chloride in 862. mL of solution.

would it be
73.28g x 2 / 58.44g NaCl = 2.50 mol of Cl
2.50 mol Cl / .862 L = 2.91 M Cl

i meant x 1 mol cl so 1.25 mol cl/.862

Is that concn in M (mols/L). I will assume so.
mols NaCl = 73.28/58.44 = ?
mols Cl = same as mols NaCl
Then M Cl = (mols/0.862L) = ?
