Find the destination using the clues below.

With easy access to the bountiful sea, it's no surprise that this place developed into a leading fishing and whaling port in the 18th century.

Typical of port towns with moving (shifting) sandbanks (or sandbars), it also lays claim to a classic, frequently photographed lighthouse.

Help please, I've searched, but to no avail.
