A car goes North at 55mi/hr for 1.3 hrs. It then goes East at 65mi/hr for 45 min. What is the total distance travelled, total displacement,average speed and average velocity of the car?

dn = 55*1.3
de = 65*.75
distance = d = sqrt(dn^2+de^2)
displacement vector = d at angle of tan^-1(dn/de) north of east
average speed = d/(1.3+.75)
velocity = displacement vector/(1.3+.75)
de = 65*.75
distance = d = sqrt(dn^2+de^2)
displacement vector = d at angle of tan^-1(dn/de) north of east
average speed = d/(1.3+.75)
