What are the operating times at Jiskha when I can actually get a response within half an hour?

We have volunteers who answer questions. Most are in the US now, so many sleep at night. However, the main problem is subject area expertise. While a calculus/math person may be awake in some wee hour, an English lit person may not be. It is not ususal to get half hour response at night.

okay. Now I'll know around when I can ask questions.. and since the time zones are different I was just wondering. My question has been answered even though it has nothing to do with hw.. but I couldn't find the answer on the website so I had to ask you here. thanks!

As Bob Pursley has said, this board is manned by volunteers; therefore, you can't count on an answer any time of day in a half hour or less although that happens at times. I generally tell people who ask to allow 12 hours and hope that the time is less than that. Thanks for using Jiskha.
