a train moving at 35m/s slows down to 20 m/s over the course of 1 minute what distance does the train cover during this time, what is the trains acceleration during this time, if the train continued to slow down with the same acceleration how much more time would it take to come to a complete stop.

a. V = Vo + a*t = 20m/s. 35 + a*608t = 0, = 20, a = -0.25 m/s^2.

d = Vo*t + 0.5a*t^2. Vo = 35 m/s, t = 60 s., a = -0.25 m/s^2.

b. V = Vo + a*t = 0, 20 - 0.25t = 0, t = 80 s.
