Would k(a-b) x (a x c) -a +( b x c) be a scaler, vector or meaningless? (these are all vectors besides k)?

scalar times vector = vector
All the other operations produce vectors, so the result is a vector.
vector dot vector produces a scalar, but that's not used here.
