The shadow of pole at a particular time of day is 1√3 times the height of pole. What is the elevation of the source of light?

shadow length ----- √3
tanØ = h/√3h = 1/√3

you should be familiar with the angle whose tangent is 1/√3
btw, I suspect a typo in 1√3, since we normally would not put that 1 in front of a radical.
