"first term in an arithmetic sequence is 15" ---> a=15

"the tenth term is 69" ---> a+9d = 69

sub in a = 15 to find d
then evaluate
a + 3d

by now I'm sure you have figured out what it means to substitute a value, but just in case, that gives you

15+9d = 69

Now you can get d, and thus a+3d.
