What happens to the circumference and area of a circle when you double the radius?

c = 2πr
a = πr^2

so, plug in various values for r:

r c a
1 2π π
2 4π 4π
...
16 32π 256π

when 2r is substituted for r, you have new values for c and a:
2π(2r) and π(2r)^2
compare those to the original values using just r.
