Difference between two numbers is 5 and the product is 6 find the numbers

x and x+5

x(x+5) = 6
x^2 + 5 x - 6 = 0
(x-1)(x+6) = 0
x = 1 or -6
if x = 1
x+5 = 6
and
if x = -6
x+5 = -1
