A battery is e.m.f 40volts and internal resistance 5 ohms is connected to a resistance of 15 ohms. Calculate The terminal potential difference.

E = 40 Volts, r = 5 Ohms, R = 15 Ohms.
I = E//(r+R) = 40/20 = 2A.
Vt = I*R = 2 * 15 = 30 Volts.
I = E//(r+R) = 40/20 = 2A.
Vt = I*R = 2 * 15 = 30 Volts.
