Hello, recently our grade was assigned a history project on the California gold rush. One of the topics we have to include is the 5 mining towns in California. So far, I know 2 which are San Francisco and Sacramento. Can you help me find the rest? Thank you.

I think you will find more than five towns that were "boom towns" in the Gold Rush. I don't know which five your teacher identifies. Some helpful reading and some videos are here:
