I can't seem to find your choice.
Just divide the cost by the number of pints to get the unit cost.
btw, the second case gives you the unit cost

Okay thank you Reiny. Thank you Ms. Sue. I think my answer I am going for is A. 1/2 pint
Answered by Reiny
You went for the most expensive oil.
What made you decide it was A ?
I am interested in your method.

If you get the unit rates for each using 1 pint as your unit, you will find the 5 pints at $8.10 is the best deal.
1/2 pint at $.90 comes to $1.80 per pint
1 pint at $1.65
2 pints at $3.40 comes to $1.70 per pint
5 pints at $8.10 comes to $1.62 per pint
