A 4kg box is attached to a 2.4m rope rotating on platform. Max tension can withstand without breaking is 140N.
1.) Find Max. speed w/ which the box can rotate if the surface of platform is frictionless.
2.) Find Max speed w/ which box can rotate if Coeff. of friction between box & platform is 0.38

a) frictionless? Tension=mv^2/r
v= sqrt:(140*r/mass)
b. Tension+friction=mv^2/r
140+.38mg=mv^2/r
solve for v.
