If he can fit 10 apples in a basket and get 50 cents on each then he can get 5 dollars for the basket (0.5 * 10). If he fills the basket with watermelons, he'll get two watermelons in each basket which he can sell for a profit of 2 dollars each , meaning he gets 4 dollars profit on each basket (2 * 2).
So it is in his best interest to fill all thirty baskets with apples, in which case he will get 30 * 5 = 150 dollars
