solve each system of equation by elimination:
a. 3x-4=y, 3x=y+6
b. 2x=y+1, y=6-3x
c. x=5y+5, 3x=7-y
Thank you :))

3 x - y = 4
3 x - y = 6
never cross -parallel, no solution
2 x - y = 1
3 x + y = 6
--------------add
5 x = 7
x = 7/5 etc
1 x - 5 y = 5
3 x + 1 y = 7
multiply first by 3
3 x -15 y = 15
3 x + 1 y = 7
---------------subtract
-16 y = 8
y = -1/2 etc

what is the y of b and the x of c ?
Answered by
Steve
y of b is 6-3x
x of c is 5y+5
surely you can evaluate those, given the other values!
