I think you are wrong on 6 and 7. The Emancipation Proclamation applied ONLY to slaves in areas in rebellion, not to slaves in states and areas that were in the Union or under Union control. And the South wanted and hoped that England would side with them and supply them (as well as buy their cotton and tobacco).
