Mercury has a melting point of -39degrees Celsius and the freezing point of methanol is -98degrees Celsius.how much warmer is the melting point of mercury than the freezing point of methanol?

When asking how much one value is than another, you just subtract. If I ask How much bigger 10 is than 3, you do 10-3=7. So,

(-39)-(-98) = -39+98 = 59
