Cultural diffusion means customs and foods from other countries.
I'm sure Swedes today eat foods from around the world, including hamburgers, sausage, pizza, pasta, curry, Chinese, and hummus.

As other cultures (French, middle-eastern, etc.) influence Swedish culture, foods diversify too. With middle-eastern (Islamic) influence growing, foods typical of the middle-east are becoming more common in Sweden.

Think of the United States. We eat foods that originated in many other parts of the world, including Chinese, Thai, Burmese, Italian, French, middle-eastern, German, etc. As people move around the world, they take their foods with them.
