A disc has a mass of 340kg, and is mounted to a frictionless axle and is free to rotate around it. Model the shape of the disc as a hollow shaft on axis where the inner and outer diameters are 600mm and 1200mm respectively. A wire is wrapped around the disk, and is the pulled by a force F=150N.
a) calculate the angular acceleration
b) kinetic energy after applying the force for 7 seconds (issue velocity at 0 before force applied).
c) generated power after applying force for 7 seconds.

a)
I= MR^2 = 340(.300^2), tau = FR = 150 (.600)
alpha = tau/I
b) omega = alpha(t)
KE = 1/2(I)omega^2
c) P= KE/t
