I doubt it. Canadians are generally proud of their British heritage. But many resent the interference of the culture of another nation.

No. Since Canada and the United States share a very long border, many Canadians watch U.S. TV, movies, and listen to U.S. music. Many resent the intrusion of U.S. culture into Canadian culture.
