I interpret a " 19/14 chain discount" to mean
a 19% discount , followed by a 14% discount
Manufacturer A's final price = (.81)(.86)
= .6966
The equivalent single discount is 1-.6966
or 30.34 %
other dealer's final price = (.76)(.88) = .6688
Sincle discount = 1-.6688 or 33.12 %
Which is the better deal?
