I'm reading [and translating] the poem "Llénalo de Amor" by Amado Nervo. I've gotten most of it down, but I'm stuck on one line.
No te preocupes de la finalidad de tu amor.
Él lleva en sà mismo su finalidad.
It's more the second line that I'm stumped on- I can't figure out it's meaning. Any help would be appreciated.
a rough translation would be You don't worry about the purpose of your love.
the last line was typed funny. try to type it without using accent marks and such, then say where the accent marks so up.
Sorry - the second line should say
El lleva en si mismo su finalidad.
With an accent over the 'e' in 'El' and over the 'i' in 'si'.
s'all good. i believe that one says roughly he carries his purpose with him or he carries in himslef his purpose. depending on the context.
Thank you for using the Jiskha Homework Help Forum. Marie is absolutely correct about the "context" of the poem. In this case the "él" refers to "el amor" so a better translation is "It carries its purpose in itself."
