10/20 + 11/13
I know I have to first find the LCM which is 260.
Then I found the equivalent fractions which were 130/260 and 220/260.
When I add those I get 350/260 which is an improper fraction.
Then I change that to a mixed number fraction. The answer I got was 1 9/26 but for some reason that just seems wrong??

Let's estimate. 10/20 = 1/2
11/13 is way over 1/2. You know that your answer must be over 1.
Your answer looks right to me, too.

seems simple enough to me
350/260 = 35/36
Now it's clear that the answer is 1 9/26 since 35=26+9
