15x + y = 0
x + y = 275
Answered by Steve
y = x+15
x + y = 275
Answered by stefan
15x + y = 0 ---------- 1 x1
x + y = 275 -------- 2 x15
15x + y = 0
15x +15y = 4125

0 -14y = -4125
y = -4125

Answered by stefan
ans x=130 and y=145 is it right pls help me

Steve gave you the two equations, so use substitution.

y = x + 15
x+y = 275

sub 1st into 2nd
x + (x+15) = 275
2x = 260
x = 130
back into y = x+15
y = 130+15 = 145

maybe it can be like this one

15x+y=0............(1)
x+y=275........(2)
solution
x=275-y
substitute x=275-y into equation 1
15(275-y)=0
4125-5y=0
5y=0+4125
5y=4125
dived 5 both sides
y=275
substituting y=275 into equ 2
x+y=275
x+275=275
x=275-275
x=0
y=275
x=0

Suresh = x, Ramesh = y
ATQ, x = y + 15 ......(¡)
x + y = 275 ..... (¡¡)
By substitution
y + y + 15 = 275
2y = 260
y = 130
x = 130 + 15 = 145
