I assume you need people whose last name began with I. There are few "heroes" or anyone of note. There is the Norwegian playwright Henrik Ibsen; American playwright William Inge; Senator Daniel Inouye of Hawaii (World War II hero); Robert Ingersoll, 19th century author and popular lecturer; American author Christopher Ishwerwood; author Laura Ingalls Wilder ("Little House on the Prairie", etc.).
