10000 + 350x - 1/(2x^2) > 40000
-30000+ 350x - 1/(2x^2) > 0
assuming x > 0
-30000x^2 + 350x^3 - 1 > 0
350x^3 - 30000x^2 - 1 > 0

approximating: (since the -1 would be insignificant)
350x^3 - 30000x^2 > 0
x^2(350x - 30000) > 0
critical value: x = 30000/350 =85.7
