Chip and Arlene have 60 shares of stock between the two of them. If you double the number arlene has and halve the number chip has, then they ahve the same number of shares. How many shares does charlene have?

look at bob's last equation of
2A = C/2
then C = 4A, sub that into
A+C = 60
A + 4A = 60
5A = 60
A = 12
C = 48
