Between 1880 and 1925 American society remained true to its core values of liberty, equality and opertunity regaurding immigration issues. Asses the validity of this statement.

Ha! whatever! Tons of immigration took place between those years, and the increase in population gave way to increase in prejudices. Economic growth is evident, and legally an Irishman's equality was no less than an Englishman's, however the prejudices did not give equal oppertunity to those less fortunate. Keep in mind that many who came over spent their savings on the voyage to America, so most immigrants were extremely poor. This gave buissnessmen an advantage, paying less to a person desperate for money than normal. so equality yes, oppertunity no, and liberity.... you decide. if you need more informtion go to wikipedia and type in "immigration in America" in the search box.
