well, divide by two to get what she drives each day
752/2 = ?
I am not sure how your class does division
7/2 = 3 remainder 1
thus 5 becomes 15 regrouping
15/2 = 7 remainder 1
thus 2 becomes 12 regrouping
12/2 = 6 NO remainder :)
so I get 376
b)
if she can do the whole trip in 12 hours she can do half the trip in 6 hours.
(I am sure you can divide 12 by 2)

Many third grades do division the way you and I learned, but more and more are using other methods that link into common core. I am not sure what methodology this student might be learning.
