Explain what happens to the square if you double the length of its sides.Draw 2 squares to support your answer

original area: (x)(x) = x^2
larger area: (2x)(2x) = 4x^2

area goes up as the square of the scale factor, because both dimensions are multiplied.

BTW, did you actually draw the squares? The answer would have been clear.
