Someone runs 3/6 of a distance run and the other person runs 3/8 which one has ran the farthest

The person who ran 3/6 of a distance because 6<8, and in questions with the same top (I can't remember the name) the answer is the one with the lowest denominator.

You can compare them by either changing them to decimals or to equivalent fractions with the same denominators.

3/6 = 12/24 = 0.5
3/8 = 9/24 = 0.375
