if two parallel lines are cut by a transversal and two interior angles are 3x and x sqaured. how do you solve for x?

x^2 + 3x-180 = 0. Factor it.

-180 = -12*15. -12 + 15 = 3 = B.
(x-12)(x+15) = 0.
X = 12.
X = -15.
Use positive value of X:
X = 12.
X^2 = 144o.
3x = 36o.
