I tried factors of 6 and found
f(-2)=0 and f(3) =0
so after successive synthetic divisions I had the factors,
(x+2)(x-3)(7x^2 - 2x - 1)
solving (x+2)(x-3)(7x^2 - 2x - 1) = 0
x = -2, 3, or (2 ±√32)/14
= -2, 3, or (1 ± 2√2)/7
