There are some instances in which a person cannot avoid intense grief. For one, think about the fatal car accidents, other kinds of accidents, deaths from illness and disease, murders, etc., that occur on a daily basis. Would you be willing to tell a mother who just lost her child in any of those circumstances to avoid her grief? How would she do that?
