Growing strength for the home currency means the home currency is getting "stronger" relative to other currencies, which means it takes more other currency to buy a unit of the home currency. Which means the home currency is appreciating

With growing strength of a home currency, the price of imported goods goes down. The price of domestically produced goods which have significant exports to other countries usually goes down as well as there is less world-wide demand for these goods.
