x/3 + x/2 = 3/4
x(1/3 + 1/2) = 3/4
x(5/6) = 3/4
x = (3/4)(6/5)
x = 18/20 = 9/10
Or, you could clear fractions by multiplying by 12:
x/3 + x/2 = 3/4
4x + 6x = 9
10x = 9
x = 9/10
x(1/3 + 1/2) = 3/4
x(5/6) = 3/4
x = (3/4)(6/5)
x = 18/20 = 9/10
Or, you could clear fractions by multiplying by 12:
x/3 + x/2 = 3/4
4x + 6x = 9
10x = 9
x = 9/10
