The predicate is the verb and the words that go with it.
The subject tells who or what is doing the action.
In the following sentences, I've bolded the complete subject and underlined the complete predicate.
<b>Mom</b> <u>fixed chicken and noodles for dinner</u>.
<b>The smart kids in my class</b> <u>always do their homework.</u>
